Viewed another way, being tightfisted with money, that is, minding

own finance, is a positive trait. Playing generous donor to the temple

is equally correct. For it is sowing seeds to reap own blessedness and

virtue, generating vast affinity, and benefitting the temple wholly in

accordance with the path of giving. An individual capable of generating

assets of virtue through lifetimes past is, stated in the sutras, in possession

of wisdom and hence on the right path.
