Fu-zhu—literally, tofu bamboo, dried tofu stick or sheet—is as

inexpensive as it is nutritious and obtainable in packs. Try working

with tofu sheets (which come in dried and frozen as well). Soak to

soften dried tofu sheets, putting a few together, folding, wrapping with

cloth, and tightly tying with string. Cook in water for an hour until the

tofu is thoroughly meshed, retrieve to cool, unwrap to see a tofu ball,

cut, serve with soy sauce and sesame oil, or stirfry with vegetables,

which is yummy, too.
