Regardless of weather condition, it is imperative not to catch cold
in sitting meditation because, in the process, warmth is felt as result
of unimpeded energy and blood flows throughout the body. At times
there is even an upward surge of warmth inside. Keep comfortably
warm nonetheless.
In cold weather, to cover for the low-waist pants that may slip a little
whilst sitting, put on a light, loose top to protect waist because
overstraining muscles in lower temperature may induce discomfort in
the pelvic area. Other things to note include avoiding excessive clothing
liable to affect concentration and avoiding to blanket knees and thighs
only and to leave shoulders, back, and waist unprotected. In sitting
meditation, always make careful setup plans.
