Is an ordinary human being with all the karmic hindrances still eligible for rebirth in the Pureland?

When an ordinary human being makes every effort to stop evil and

do good, choose virtue and stick to it, stay sincere and reverential,

remember—that is, contemplate—the Buddha with one mind, and be

fully equipped with faith, vow, and act—that is, faith in the Buddha

power, vow for the Pureland rebirth, and act in Buddha remembrance,

he—together with his karma—is eligible for rebirth.

There in the Pureland, all worldly cares undergo a thorough wash-up,

the lotus be abloom, the Buddha be seen, and, subsequently, from

there the return trip be made to the saha world and the living beings

be further delivered.
