Is preceptive reception allowed only once in a lifetime?

A preceptive recipient is allowed to participate in ceremonies of

preceptive reception as much as circumstances make it possible.

Anytime, anywhere. Participation is permitted with a reverenced bhiksu

conferring. For, on reception of the precepts and discipline, we are

enabled to possess the inherent preceptive body, a consistent reminder

against breaking the precepts and violating the discipline and always

with the function in prevention of wrongdoings. A lot of Buddhist

practitioners do seek preceptive reception more than once or twice.

Normally, the initial conferrer is the preceptor and, in the learning

process, preceptive receptions thereafter are renewals of instructions

obtained from other reverends.
